Join us for a paint-your-own one-of-a-kind ceramics workshop from Megan Stover and Lauren Rider!
Megan and Lauren are two Philadelphia ceramic artists that run Stover Ceramics and Rider Ceramics respectively. As neighbors, friends, and fellow mom-makers —often with kids in tow — they share a studio space in the Bok Building while independently running their own ceramic lines. They have worked collaboratively on special projects as well as hosted workshops and classes collectively. Both primarily wheel throwers, they make detail oriented work with Rider focusing on hand painted designs and Stover with hand carved work.
Megan and Lauren will bring these specialties to Bok Bar for this all ages workshop, guiding guests through the process of surface decorating your one-of-a-kind piece. All supplies will be provided to fully glaze the piece, and all pieces will be food, microwave and dishwasher safe.
At the end of this workshop, completed pieces will go back to the studio for a second 24 hour firing, with pick up or shipping scheduled for a later date. If you'd prefer to have your piece shipped to your home or business, shipping is available $10, payable by cash, card or venmo during the event.
This event doubles as a reservation at Bok Bar from 5pm-6:30pm. Attendees can order food and drink a la carte. Masks are required at all times except when seated at your table. This event will be postponed in inclement weather.
